booster seat

We still use the Stokke Steps system, which can transition from baby through the toddler years, but we found it's also helpful to have a booster seat (easier to transport when having dinner at a friend's house, easy to set up when you have another little one visiting, etc.). We got the Oxo Tot Perch that has straps (there's a model without straps here) because we can't quite trust our little one to stay in his seat and not fall off. The seat is easy to wash and has been great so far. For safety, I recommend looking for a booster seat that in some way attaches to the chair (the Oxo one has adjustable straps that go under the chair and around the back so it stays in place really well), unless of course you happen to have a really calm and trustworthy toddler who won't try to wiggle around :)
